Dakota Enterprises was founded in 2006 by Rick Guttman, inspired by a suggestion from his late brother to invest in an apartment complex together. That idea sparked Rick’s passion for multifamily real estate, and the journey began. Today, Dakota Enterprises manages a growing portfolio of more than a dozen multifamily developments across the greater Houston area, focusing on providing high-quality, market-rate housing for the region's expanding workforce.
Operating with a full-service approach, Dakota Enterprises handles every aspect of the development process, from financing and ground-up construction to rehabilitation, leasing, and property management.

To enhance the quality of life for Houston’s and Texas’ growing workforce by providing affordable, high-quality housing options. Through continuous property rehabilitation and new development of safe, welcoming multifamily communities, we enable residents to remain in the neighborhoods they know and love. By doing so, we contribute to the preservation and enrichment of the diverse cultures and histories within each local community. As part of our commitment, we actively collaborate with local organizations to support and improve educational and family-focused initiatives that uplift the communities we serve.
